Weren't you putting a grouping together of the main lever models (e.g. M1873, M1876, M1886, etc.) that consisted of a carbine, rifle and musket of each model?

 Mark Douglas has a good video on a 1876 set trigger, start by watching it. They all work on the same principal, little hammer hits sear. T/R

…and an engraver, I accumulate parts over the years and eventually can get lucky and put them to use. I have almost enough parts to put together a 1876 rifle to engrave. naturally it will not letter. I have everything I need but am looking for a good right side plate and a fore end cap for a round

…calibers and others.  Several years ago I bought a case of special run PMC .45-90 and a case of special run PMC .40-65.  The reproduction Model 1876's in original chamberings such as .45-75 and .50-95 have brought back both the rifles and cartridges.

I owned an 1876 Express rifle, SN 60953 made in 1888 that was fitted with the Express front and rear sights.  I have another one SN 39930 that has an Express rear

Ends up being a very heavy rifle for a .45 Colt.  I suppose they used the .45-75 bore.

It was not for a Model 1873, 1876, Single Shot, 1886, 1887, 1892, 1893, 1894, or 1897 as it does not have the widows peak at the top of the butt plate.
