Thanks Don, I just saw that earlier today but hadn’t logged it yet. I have another in the survey just 16 numbers back that is identical. These are way late for the short rifles. The survey is getting thin out in those years. As always, wish it had more condition.

And especially late being a 32-40. Perhaps a parts clean-up gun?
I ran into two from dealer’s gun lists I saved from years ago. The first from 1973 (I was a lot younger than I am now when he mailed this list to me):
#35925, .30WCF, pistol grip checkered stock with fancy grade wood, 22 inch 1/2 octagon barrel, button magazine, shotgun butt.
From 1977 list :
#71069, .30 WCF, 20 inch round barrel, crescent butt. I assume full magazine as he would have specified otherwise.
