Hi Michael,
I realized I had a taken a few photos when I first got it. It is not a spectacular rifle but the takedown feature is cool and it is a great shooter!
The receiver and forend cap are gray all over but the rest of the bluing is reasonable. It almost looks as if the receiver was originally case-colored? I have not disassembled it to see what the receiver looks like beneath the wood. Kinda hate to do that since it looks like it has not been messed-with much.
If there are any other details you would like photos of just let me know and I will shoot them the next time it goes to the range.
Best Regards,

Here’s a few pics of 200821. I don’t have any pics of the other two, and nothing special about either of them. Let me know if you need something verified on one of those two.

I apologize for the poor-quality pics, but if there is anything you’d like to see better I will take additional/better pics.
Model 1892
Serial # 734695
SRC Carbine
20” Barrel
Caliber 44 W.C.F.
Button Magazine
Gum Wood (?)
I purchased it in Ontario, just north of Toronto in Jan. 2008 and it’s been in my collection ever since. It came the way it looks in the pictures, including the slightly bent rear sight, I haven’t touched a thing.
Would you know, percentage wise, more or less, how many 44 WCF half-magazine carbines were produced ?
Thank you and best regards.
Thanks for the effort of posting the images. A long time ago in the summer of 1974 I spent a little time north of Toronto around the little town of Bancroft. I was a geology student in college and we were on a field trip up there. Gorgeous countryside as I recall. I locked my keys in the trunk of my car. Found a guy working on his cottage that loaned me a few wrenches so that I could take out the back seats of the car and access the trunk. Crazy times.
It will take a bit of spread sheet manipulation to try to get an answer to the rarity question. I will try to set a side some time and give it a try.

Thank you, not urgent at all.I know the lakes around Bancroft well, many canoe trips with my scout troop, eons ago.
From the geological point of view the Canadian Shield is quite compelling … and beautiful.
I have always thought of going back with multiple fly rods and doing some fish sampling!! Would it be worth it?

I would say yes, Ontario in general is a fishing paradise, and for the past few years the exchange has been favorable to the US dollar. Southern Ontario is better known for its lakes than rivers and perhaps fly fishing is not as popular as spinning, but plenty of fishermen of both.
Just a few hours north of Toronto are the areas called Muskoka, The Kawarthas, Haliburton and especially Algonquin Provincial Park; they come from all over to vacation and fish here.
Depending on your tolerance for blood sucking bugs, be aware of spring and early summer.

Thanks! I am pretty well rehearsed on the blood sucking bugs as I spent lots of time in northern Michigan and several trips to Alaska. I could have paid for the trip if I had brought more than one mosquito netted hats!! Those guys got eaten alive!!!
