Nice one, Rick. I’m not drawn to Flat Bands but can see why you picked this one up.
Mike
Thanks Mike. Acquired mostly due to condition. I have my pre-war DOM 1939, which is in the 2024 calendar April and thought this would complement it being the year after the war ended and being a flat band.

Hello Bert, got a very early one for you. 1946 milled flat band, knurled hammer, type 2 receiver, slotted tube cap 32 wsp. Checkered steel butt plate and is Serial no. 1367919. I love this thing! It is an absolute joy to shoot and has 98% blueing with very few dents dings or scratches.

Thanks for posting the information. It is a very early serial numbered Flat Band (June 1946).

Bert, I added my Flat band in Jan 2018. I noticed that lately you have beel adding the month to the Mfg date. Is that possible with mine?
1894 # 1403973 1946 barrel date
Thanks
David
Based on the information that I have in my survey, it is a late December 1946 production gun. If you want to verify it, contact Pauline Muerrle (she can provide you with the exact date).

OfflineBert,
A friend sent me this. Don’t know if you have it in you’re survey, or not.
