I have been collecting or purchasing old tong type loading tools and bullet molds for a while . I managed to accumulate several sets of Winchester tools for each caliber chambered in the 1876 model . The 50-95 wcf has been the least encountered . Several years ago I purchased a set marked Express on the loading tong tool and 50-95 on the mold . The tong tool does have a 50-95 chamber and the bullet mold does cast a .510 bullet but something about the look of the markings just looks different than the others . I am not able to post pics , so asking if someone that has experience with these tools would allow me to email pictures of the tools and let me know what you think . Thanks .

I’m sure you know far more than I about them, but I’ll be glad to copy your photo. [email protected]
Thanks Clarence , I am no expert on Winchester loading tools . That’s why I’m asking for help in determining if they are legit or fake . I hope they are real , but if they are found to be fake , I’ll stamp fake on them so no one else can be fooled by them . Even though I paid $ 1,200 bucks for them . It would be the right thing to do . I’ll send you the pictures . DT
Clarence,
I’d be interested in looking at them, at the very least for my on-going survey of loading tools, and can probably shed light on your questions.

In the past couple of days I have had several requests for photos of the tools in question from different people . Have not had any response back as to what their options were . Just could you send more pictures . Maybe my pm and email abilities are not so good . So I will answer two questions asked without the names here . Yes they are the same and no they are not for sale .

No reason to think that, Dusty. Your photos are excellent, but I think too large, a frequent problem with posting photos on this site, which limits their size. Photos can be downsized, but it’s something I’m not sure I can do. Maverick is a mould collector, so I’m surprised he hasn’t responded.
Here is one of your photos, reduced by 50% using the Paint program. Didn’t you say you were suspicious of the marking on it? If you open your photos in this program, you’ll see the “resize” option. Cut them by 50%, then “save.” Then “copy.”
Clarence,
If you reduced the photo by 50% the original was probably good enough to post here because the photo you posted is quite small and you can’t see the caliber mark. I know you have had issues posting photos, How are you attaching the photos to the post?
Dusty,
‘TR” forwarded me a PM you sent him and there was no picture attached just a AOL email link. You can send me some photos and I will post them.

I tried that before, Bob, posting them full-size, & only got that “image can’t be found” notice. Maybe 75% reduction would work. To attach photo to post, I merely “copy & paste” them as I would a text; is there another way?
Send me your email add, & I’ll forward Dusty’s photos, which are quite good.
Clarence,
You have to use the “upload attachments” below the reply box. Click that then it opens another box below and click “Add Files” now you can pick the photos off your computer or you can drag and drop them in the box. If they are too big you will get a error right there or when you try to upload them. Once they are in the box the “Start upload” option shows up and once you click that they will upload and then show up one by one in your reply. Before you upload them make sure the cursor is placed where you want to place the photos in your reply. If the have the cursor in the middle of your reply that is where the photos will be placed.

Before I could do it that way, I’d have to transfer Dusty’s email attachment to my own “Pictures” files, which I don’t see any obvious way of doing.
