I would have already if I had the money. Hoping someone on here is lucky enough. Rifle is worth at least double the asking price in my opinion. It won’t last long at that price. A steal at $8,500…

When I briefly glanced at it earlier today I thought it didn’t look right and knee jerk reaction was that the stocks had been re-checkered. But honestly didn’t take much time looking it over good.

I wasn’t able to pick up on the refinish clues. Still learning to use this new laptop and can’t figure out the magnification process. Will need to try it on my iPad. Deluxe 1892’s are just eye candy to me anyway.

We talked about this one about a month ago. And it was a .25-20!
So this rifle that just sold for $8500 in .44-40 has the same serial number as one that sold a month ago but in .25-20? Yikes!

A little (edit…a lot) cloudy on what actually happened here
If you can’t convince them, confuse them

I didn’t think we knew the serial number of the one that sold for $8500?

Okay, that makes more sense. I suppose you could turn a .25-20 into a .44-40, but I don’t think it would work other than as a single shot rifle.

Exactly, when I asked for it I never got it. If legit, a 92 in 38 or 44 like this would go for more than 20K and maybe 30K. I paid 10K for one that has problems with the receiver and butt plate finish. But, I was able to hold the rifle in my hands before I bid on it.
