Most likely early 1993. Does it have the Cross-bolt safety?

Your Model 94AE was manufactured sometime after the year 2002, and before March of 2006 (when the U.S. Repeating Arms Company shutdown the New Haven factory for good). The biggest issue with the late production Model 94AE is the fact that they have a tang safety (an ugly departure from the original design patented by John M. Browning), and as of this time, they have no collector interest. In “Very Good” condition, it is a $250 gun, though there are lots of people asking $350 – $450 for them.Bert
Bert,
You seem to be the go to guy on Model 94AE’s and was wondering if you maybe able to help me as well. I have a Winchester Model 94AE 30-30 made in New Haven. The serial number is 552827X. It has a 20” barrel and the stock looks original but looks marbled I’m assuming made from a burl? I’m just trying to find more information on for value as I’m taking it as a trade.

So since my 94 was manufactured in 1994 it is 100 years into the model 94s, its not an anniversary model but still a 1994, I wonder if that ups the value?
Not likely. There is very little collector interest in the late production Model 94.

It does not have a cross bolt safety. I seem to be having difficulty’s upload a picture on here. I was told it was a Model 94 is a modern arm manufactured by U.S. Repeating Arms Co. and manufactured sometime around 2010. Current value as listed in the Blue Book of Gun Values is $400 – $500.

Bert,I have 94AE Serial Number #619294XX. It is one of the 500 produced for “The Great North American Rodeo” gold inlays / engraving
Can you provide the manufactured date and what the approximate cost of the gun was originally
Thank you
Your Model 94AE was manufactured by the U.S. Repeating Arms Company (U.S.R.A.Co.) late in the year 1995. It was subsequently purchased by the organization “America Remembers”, who then have the gun reworked (etched and gold plated). You might try contacting them for further information;

Blake,
It could not have been manufactured in the year 2010. The U.S. Repeating Arms Company shutdown all operations and shuttered the factory in March of 2006. If your Model 94AE has a serial number in the 5528720 range, it was manufactured in the year 1989.

Bert,
Thanks for the information the actual serial number is 5528271 and location different from others. I’ll try transferring the pictures to my laptop and send them to you.
