Your Model 94AE was manufactured sometime after the year 2002, and before March of 2006 (when the U.S. Repeating Arms Company shutdown the New Haven factory for good). The biggest issue with the late production Model 94AE is the fact that they have a tang safety (an ugly departure from the original design patented by John M. Browning), and as of this time, they have no collector interest. In “Very Good” condition, it is a $250 gun, though there are lots of people asking $350 – $450 for them.

I have a Winchester Model 94Ae in caliber 44 Remington Magnum S/N 6064681. I was wondering what the date of manufacture was and what the current value is.
Exact dates of manufacture cannot be determined for any of the U.S. Repeating Arms Company (U.S.R.A.Co.) production Model 94s. That stated, S/N 6064681 is estimated to have been manufactured in 1993. Does it have the Cross-bolt safety?
