I have never been part of a research survey. I am trying to catalog my collection, it is not all in one place. I know I have more than 20 to add to your survey and would like to help but it will take some time. I have limited skills with the computer looking forward to helping you.

Another 1892 for your survey. Serial no. 255399 with 24″ round barrel, Lyman no. 4 front sight, dovetail filler blank, Lyman 1A 2nd variation rear sight, 25-20 cal, full length magazine with slot in cap, crescent butt plate, all blued rifle
Thanks so much. That is a new entry in my data. Can you please post am image of the barrel address stamp located directly above the metal fore end cap?

You better be backing up that spreadsheet!!!

The spreadsheet gets saved to the cloud EVERY day! Not sure what I would do if it all disappeared after all this time.

I just bought a new external hard drive. It will back up your entire internal hard drive. Keep it plugged in all the time so the battery stays charged. One type needs 120 V the other uses the power from the computer through the USB cord. These are very easy to set up. You can tell it how often to back up. Right now I have it set for continuous back up. My computer has a 1 terabyte hard drive. My old back up was 1 terabyte and it took years to fill up. My new one is 5 terabytes. Out the door this one cost $140.
