It is a highly finished engraved gold inlaid and carved special order rifle. The factory could have and did on special order make stocks specifically to a customer’s specifications regarding the length of pull, drop, rise of the comb, offset, etc.
Other than the buttstock, it looks identical to other highly finished arms of the period.

He did. Bur were it me, I would have included one sentence to mention all of the chamberings the M1895 came in. He does mention the .405 – making the Roosevelt connection. However, I was disappointed to not know the chambering of this rifle.
