I posted recently about a collection I am buying and here is a second rifle I received from the same source. This one is a pistol grip takedown with half octagon barrel. I got the info from Cody that it was made in December of 1904. The only thing wrong with it is someone slathered some finish on the wood, but no sanding was done. Also it has marbles sights butt it’s kind of neat to see the instructions included.
Something really neat is all the extras in this package. I’m curious if the leather case is a Winchester item? The seller gave it to me and told me the rifle was in it when he got it. I found a 25-20 cleaning rod (in a torn up canvas pouch), a tube of Winchester grease, a screwdriver tool, a pull-through with old string wrapped around, instructions for the sites and a little pamphlet from marbles saying the sight was $4 dollars! Haha
