I’d make them an offer but they didn’t post the serial number. So I have no idea if its an antique or not. If it was antique, I’d offer on it, but that starting bid is sky high in my opinion.
Somebody will probably report it and it’ll get pulled.
Sincerely,
Maverick

No doubt–ebay is full of do-gooders & gun-haters. But before that happens you should try to get his contact info., which isn’t easy, as Big Brother blocks both email adds & phone numbers. You can evade the phone no. ban by mixing up some number not in the actual phone number, then deleting the decoy numbers–but you have to use a lot of them to evade ebay’s spy system. Or you can send a photo of your number or email add., which ebay hasn’t found a way to detect so far.
I’ve bought several items under ebay’s radar by making a private offer.

Just got response to ser. no. request: built 1917, #719639
Wow – that is really late manufacture. So, not only is he offering a gun on ebay but it is a modern gun vs. antique. I see there is no mention of the need for an FFL. I agree, his pricing is sky-high… free shipping however…. 🙂

All the more reason he might be willing to cut a deal. He knows it’s a C&R gun. More power to anybody who defies ebay’s rules!
