Thanks for your contribution. I would be interested in any other 73’s you have records from. Old letters or copies of a ledger. Years ago Cody would print off the whole page out of the ledger if you asked for the gun entry. Now they are real tight with them. If you want you can email them to me. Be careful down in Mexico, I’m hearing a lot of bad stuff going on there.

Ike,
I appreciate the information. I assume the carbine has a standard carbine butt not a shotgun butt

Can’t recall if I’ve told you about this one; 719280B
It’s a bit unusual.

Thank you, Bob, for your research efforts. And of course the excuse to dig out a lot of rifles that don’t get out much. Other than a broken toe it was a wonderful evening, even fixed an old Marlin while I was running oily patches thru some old Winchesters.
Mike,
How did you break your toe or are you talking about the toe of a gun stock?

Too many trips from safe to work bench in sandals. Was admiring a rifle and walked into a steel file cabinet. Twice, same toe. Second time broke it and nearly tore the nail off my left pinky toe. I’ve tracked dead deer with less of a blood trail. Still had all my .22’s to go so I set it, taped it and finished the job. Much easier and less painful (in some ways) than a damaged gun stock. 😉 I can set a broken toe but not much on wood grafting.
Shane,
I got everything I needed from the letter, Thanks
What information are you trying find about your gun?

Shane,
The information that I will be able to give you would be rarity of features of your gun i.e. the percentage of guns were made with with 30″ barrels.
