Foul Out does not affect steel, I found a few cans on the shelf when I was looking for the Iosso. I utilized the bore scope partly because I could feel something with the nylon bore brush. I’m very aware of the hazards of a bore scope but I have no idea how that little bit of pitting happened. If someone had fired some old surplus corrosive ammo I think it would have had pitting from one end to the other. I may use Iosso or JB to polish the bore to reduce future fouling.
We have some ugly weather coming in this weekend, looking forward to working on a few projects in the room where the magic happens. Have some brass to sort and maybe some 35 Whelen cases to load, may even clean another rifle or two.

OfflineYeah, we are still recovering but I did get out to cover the faucets and put the hoses away. A good day for hot oatmeal and the man cave.

OfflineThree applications of Foul-Out removed most of the fouling and the JB paste removed the rest and polished the bore a bit to hopefully slow down future copper deposits. Gonna be a few days before I’ll venture out to check the impact of my work, so to speak.
