Welcome Kevin!
Ditto, the price is absolutely worth the price of admission and will say that is mostly due to the outstanding efforts of the (modest) Brad Dunbar.
His tireless efforts in producing The Winchester Collector are well appreciated and do not go unnoticed! Kudos also to Rob Kassab and the WACA team!

Kevin-
Speaking of admission I hope you were able to make it to the Cody Show, if so drop by and say hello. Admission to the show is yet another great benefit of being a member. And you’re right, we have a world-class magazine, I take one along to the other shows I attend to entice new members.

The summer edition of the Collector was outstanding, again! Still reading it a little at a time but Jennifer and Gary Gole’s excellent article on the Boy Scout/Eagle Scout commemoratives was very timely and contained a wealth of information I haven’t found elsewhere. As a Winchester collector I have very little interest in commemoratives but as an Eagle Scout I was very interested as my brother (also an Eagle Scout) has been asking about them in recent years. There have been inquiries and posts on the forum recently and quite honestly I’ve been a little frustrated by the lack of information.
Thank you, Jennifer and Gary!

I’ve been enjoying it as well. However, when I went to read it, my eye caught the previous edition and I had to read Brad Dunbar’s article on hunting with the .33 WCF again
Yes, Steve. I enjoyed that article as well. A set of 33WCF dies (or was it brass?) came up for sale soon after I read that article and I should have bought them. I don’t have an 1886 at the moment but I feel pretty certain the next one will be a 33WCF. If I’m truly fortunate and find one I can afford in 45-70 I pretty well have that cartridge covered.

I agree whole Heartily. I also appreciated their article on the Winchester Eagle and Boy Scout Commemorative s as my information on mfg. price that I commented on a short while back differed from there’s. The work that’s done on that magazine is second to none! Great informative articles.

Mike – I would feel completely naked without at least one ’86! In fact, with just one, I would still feel mostly naked. And as you know, I do highly recommend the .33 WCF. I have more .33’s than any other chambering and also have two Marlin 1895’s in .33.
Edit:
This triggers a very pleasant memory:
My Dad was not a gun collector, but rather a hunter. I recall as a very young boy, my Dad explaining to me that the .33 WCF was thought to be the most perfect deer rifle cartridge ever developed.
