At 65, there aren’t many things I get anxious for, but I’ve so enjoyed the Winchester Quarterly magazine… everything about it is exceptional. Thanks to Brad and everyone involved! So….when can we “expect” to be able to view the Summer 2024 issue as I must admit to getting anxious? thanks.
If the Spring issue is a predictor, a conservative guess would be October and a wildly optimistic one would be before the opening day of dove season.
None of it was the fault of the WACA staff. Their mailing coincided with some latest attempt by the bright light running the Postal Service to “streamline” the mail. Yes. This included “speeding up” Priority Mail by no longer requiring the scanning and reporting of items in transit with tracking numbers. The item would be reported as received and then disappear into night and fog for several days or weeks, with no projected delivery date. Then, after filing a missing package request, it would magically reappear “out for delivery” ….. except it wouldn’t be delivered and you had to go to the post office and have them find it.
If you think this makes a magazine subscriber irritated, I’m here to tell you it’s nothing compared to the incoherent ravings of the guy who last month paid good money for my 99.9% Anschutz, shipped Priority Mail, which disappeared after being 7 days late, the whereabouts of which his postmaster had no $#@% idea except it was “in transit.” It did eventually show up unharmed but not before my Anschutz collector almost strangled on his own saliva.

Viewing the Online Magazine and getting the hard copy in the mail are two different things.
I’ll let Brad speak for himself, but typically once Brad posts the image of the cover with the statement “Coming Soon” on the online viewer. You’ll usually see it online within 1 to 2 weeks afterwards.
The online viewer always is up well before the hard copy comes in the mail.
Sincerely,
Maverick

Hi Guys
I’m glad that you are excited to read the magazine. The online version is typically available to read by the 15th (January, April, July and October). This is also the deadline for mailing.
Thanks!
We’re all happy to read that you guys have received your magazines already. Thanks for the compliment Ben.
While USPS does not move with lightning speed on its best day, as of Saturday, August 17, my Summer issue of the Collector still hasn’t shown up. Is there anyone else in North Texas who hasn’t gotten theirs? Should I continue to possess my soul in patience or put a dead salmon in the mail slot of the PO?

I think we can safely assume your issue was lost, Bill. If you’ll contact Heather Martin I’ll bet she can send one your way.
