Chuck,

What internet browser are you using?  I use Microsoft Edge, and it automatically asks me if I want the web page translated to English... which it does a decent job of it.

The reason for my original post was to help getting this gun cleared before it is offered for sale.

Could you ask Merz how he cleared the one he's selling?

Actually I have 4.  I often have more than 1 open when I'm researching something.  I'll see if I can figure it out in ME.

I got copies of the paperwork that Leroy has.  Herbert Houze's article is in the 11/1992 Gun Report.  This article is 6 pages of text and about 6 Winchester drawings.  Leroy also had copies of 1 page from the Madis handbook and 4 from Madis' large book.

I did not bring up the BATF situation with Leroy.  The gun shop that has one they want to sell has submitted a request to the BATF for this particular gun and the other Models made from about 1900 to 1919.   The gun shop told me that there is one of these pistols recognized by serial number on the BATF list.

Chuck,

Great info, thanks for following up!

I will look for a copy of the 11/92 GR.
