Hey all you WACA folks;
If you’ve followed the Winchester Forum over these last 15 or 20 years , you undoubtedly have read about my Model 1873 Smoothbore in the rare 32-20 WCF caliber. Of the 720,000 +/- 1873’s produced there were perhaps less than 10 of the small caliber (32-20) Smoothbores made. There are 2 known too still exist, of which I own one. This Winchester not only was a “special ordered” item, but was modified from the normal 1873 configuration at the original buyers request. In my researching this firearm I discovered a “Period” photograph depicting this Winchester or its twin ( very unlikely ) in the hands of two well know personages of the time. I’ll try to direct those interested to the internet location of the photo, as this photo should be most interesting to Collectors of the Model 1873 Winchester. If interested, I’ll respond via “Private Message”.
