Gun videos and gun sponsors no longer allowed.  I just watched a brief video on another site from Hickok 45.  I’ve occasionally seen his videos over the last many years.  He said youtube made a significant change sometime in June and it sounds like a great deal of gun stuff (e.g. his channel and all gun related sponsors) is going to be jettisoned.  I’m wonder if the the Cinnabar is caught up in this?

Such a ban wouldn’t be surprising given that YT is headquartered in Cally, but it hasn’t happened yet.  I just viewed several episodes of Forgotten Weapons that are up & running.

Yes, I had the sense from what they are saying that this is a change that hasn’t been fully implemented.  Yet.

Not sure what YT’s plan is for gun related vids in the future. But I follow some unrelated forums where the posters have abandoned YT and moved to Rumble due to the political views being more aligned.  Rumble obviously does not yet have the wide viewership enjoyed by YT, but their political attitudes certainly seem more aligned with everything WACA and ‘firearms’ than do those of YT.

I’d be happy to see Rumble take off in popularity.

Youtube does not like us.  They especially don’t like videos that explain technical issues. I belong to another Forum.  The guy has had 2 websites for some time.  The free one can’t show everything but the one I pay for can show everything.

If this effects Mark’s website I’ll pay.  If we pay they will gladly let us see what we used to get for free.   $$$$$

Curious what he was prevented from showing on YT, as I’ve watched many highly technical YT videos, such as disassembly of various guns.  None of the internet giants “like” us, but how many here contribute to the maintenance of #uckerberg’s empire?  Not I, ever!

Clarence I can’t explain what is going on.  The Forum I am talking about is a Forum about shooting F Class, world class 1000 yd shooting.  Very detailed about everything on precision loading and shooting.  Even step by step how to ream your own chambers.  But people like this have been getting a lot of flack from Youtube.  I wonder what may happen if they have to purge all the old info?  The guys in the video above say to make sure the viewers are “Subscribed”.  That means that if you pay Google/YouTube you can have a site.

If you are “subscribed” to any video producer, it doesn’t benefit YT directly, it allows the producer to sell ad space on his “channel.”  For ex, I’m subscribed to the Forgotten Weapons channel, but I’m not paying anything, nor seeing ads either, since I have an ad blocker installed.  The producer of the video you’re referring to is BSing you, because I’m certain YT isn’t blocking info on chamber reaming or any similar content.  I thought it might be directions on how to convert a semi-auto to full-auto, or something else illegal; that might very well be blocked, if some spy for YT reported it.

Clarence, we’ll see how it plays out.  So you think the guys that have the video above are BSn us?  I doubt it.

If they’re claiming YT won’t let them present such innocuous videos as how to ream a chamber, etc, they absolutely are BSing you.

I wrote here back in February about YT.

Not to come off rude or Ignorant by any means. This is also my personal view and opinion from facts i have attained.  but  I dont watch youtube or line their pockets for many reasons. One of the main reasons is they are owned by Alphabet inc. which is anti gun. also one of the largest stake holders Larry page has given money to support many anti gun candidates. I can go on about others involved but you get the picture.

Jeremy,  If YT was going to ban ANY gun-related video, wouldn’t it be for doing something that’s illegal, or making something that could be used for criminal purposes?  Yet here are several current videos showing how to make a silencer!

As for left-wing internet moguls, they ALL are!  Don’t complain about that if you make any use of Facebook, owned by the most far-left billionaire of them all.

Clarence you have totally missed the point.  YouTube has been making it hard for people that have sites for some time now and apparently things are going to get worse.  I know for a fact that some site owners have been contacted by UT.  UT does not like us and things are going to change.

Like I said before we will have to see what happens.

Hard, how?  What was said when those site owners were contacted?  So far, I’ve heard nothing specific, only vague speculations.

A tempest in a teapot.  Never any censorship of CONTENT, which I assumed was the cause of this brouhaha, only a restriction on sponsorship.  That restriction is unjustified, & a hardship for the video producers, but it’s hardly grounds for such dire forebodings as have been expressed here.

Odd that they can’t tell us what YT finds objectionable without violating the new TOS. Very concerning.

Have they not been allowed to post any gun related videos in the last month?  I didn’t see any.

Mike,  I guess you need to watch video again, as they explained EXACTLY what YT found objectionable.
