I have a Win. mod. 94, 1932, it has a SRC type stock, but the barrel has the ramp front sight as opposed to the SRC barrel, is this correct…It may be  be a Eastern Carbine with a replaced barrel or q pre 64 with a SRC stock, not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Appreciate an email to [email protected]

Ray,

What you are describing is perfectly normal for a 1932 production Model 94 Sporting Carbine. It is not an “eastern” carbine, and it should not have a saddle ring. The term used for your Model 94 is “Transitional” carbine.  The production of the Transitional carbines began in April of 1932, at or very near serial number 1082900.  Winchester changed the barrel steel alloy from Nickel Steel to Proof Steel, began using the ramp style front sight, and eliminated the saddle ring all at the same time.  The only thing that remained the same from the original SRC was the butt stock and butt plate.  Winchester eventutally made the change to the serrated steel butt plate in 1936/37.
