What is a Spruce gun?  Is it associated to the model 94 only?  Thanks for the info.

Winchester nut,

There is an excellent article written by Rick Hill in the Summer 2005 Winchester Collector magazine on page 15 regarding the 1894 Spruce guns–see attached.

Bert

I don’t know if Bert was trying very hard on the membership sales pitch. But for $35 you can get an Electronic membership and view nearly 40 years of the WACA magazine and get all the “More Info:” your heart desires to read from it. It is a great resource.

Additional info not gleamed from the Collector Magazine can usually be answered here on the forum. Some members still actually get together from time to time and still make phone calls to one another.

Sincerely,

Maverick

P.S. There might be a few sword guys here as well. Wink
