Admin, Bert, & Whomever Else It May Concern,

It appears that under the Resources Tab where you look up the Date of Manufacture that for the Model 1887 that the search feature maybe malfunctioning.

I’ve tried different serials and get the same results. Date Not Found.

See attached pic.

Model1887-.JPG

This should work. Why isn’t it? Serial Number one I would imagine should return being made in 1887.

I believe this is a recent issue, as I think I’ve used the tool in the past for this model with no issues.

Sincerely,

Maverick

Somehow or another, the database for the Model 1887 must have been corrupted or has a broken link.  I will work on getting it fixed.

In the meantime, I can answer any questions about the Model 1887 DOMs if provided with a serial number.  Serial number 1500 was manufactured on July 22, 1887.

When was serial number 15,000 made?

I found an old period advertisement discussing having sold 15,000 model 87s.

Sincerely,

Maverick

P.S. I’m guessing around 1888-89?
