Mills Belt - what caliber was it made for?

It is too bad that so many pages were omitted.  If I were a collector of such things I think this may be a book to have.  I do have a Mills belt but it is a Prairie belt.  It does not have a fancy buckle.  It is for the Cavalry to carry 45-55 Benet primed ammo for their carbines.  Mine is full of ammo and goes nicely with my second model Hotchkiss carbine. The head stamp has a F for Frankford Asenal, 81 for the year and R for rifle.  The carbine rounds should have a C.  Now we all know I have the wrong cartridges.  These are rarely seen and most people won’t know the difference since they are both the same length.
