I’ve had a few people ask where Bert is, He hasn’t been on the any of the forums for several days. I just heard that he’s in the hospital.
Hope you get better Bert,

Get well soon, my friend. Otherwise I’ll be up there with a few guys from around here and we’ll break you out of that hospital.
If you need anything, let us know.
Mike
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. I am finally home recovering nicely after spending 9-days in the hospital ICU & PCU. I can very strongly advise anyone to avoid getting Pneumonia and Sepsis !! My best advice is to take care of yourself and get immediate medical assistance if you ever start to “feel bad” or ill.
Best,

I suspect that we are very much alike, and Yes, I do hate to go see a doctor unless it is really bad. Fortunately, it was my wife who made the decision for me and hauled my stubborn butt to the ER.

Pneumonia and Sepsis !!
That is NOTHING to be light hearted about. Both maladies will happily kill you. You might stay off the computer a few more days and thank your loving wife for her saving your life. Get well

Bert, I have never personally met you but hope someday soon I will at one of the gun shows you attend. You have given me viable information on my modest Winchester collection and is very much appreciated. I too had pneumonia several years back and its nothing to take lightly. I was in the hospital for 10 days with 105° temperature and could hardly breathe. It was terrible. Keep an eye on it because it can reoccur. Glad your feeling better.
Gerald
Bert,
I should have warned you about the pneumonia that seems to be going around. I started the New Year off in the hospital with it. But, like most of us guys I too waited until my wife made me go to the ER after spending 2 1/2 weeks living on the couch too weak to do much else. I didn’t feel sick, only coughing, short of breath and weak. I have actually followed the DR.’s orders and started exercising and walking each day. I had to start by walking to the corner and back and now am up to 2 miles each morning (boring). I still only have about 75% lung usage, but can jog almost a half a block before slowing to a walk. At 75 years old I just don’t bounce back like I use to. At least you are still young. Take care Bert, your needed here and at home! Best wishes for you. RDB
