Around here people would burn their Christmas pine tree after the holiday season was over, and if you’ve never seen a pine tree thrown on a fire, then you wouldn’t believe the mild explosion and the roar that they can cause!Anthony
If you think that is impressive, you should see a stand of 100-foot plus tall fir trees when the catch fire… much like a bundle of huge Roman Candles. The blast and heat wave is horrifying to be within 150 feet of !!

I’ll never be able to describe the sound an F3 (some say F4) tornado makes when it’s hurling debris at your house. My ears simply stopped working. Half an hour, 20 minutes later people 120 feet away could not hear me yelling or even 45ACP gunshots over the sound of the tornado a few miles away. Nature has more power than most will ever understand.

Bert, I can only imagine what that would be like! I feel for the many, who have had to deal with, the many fires involving such disasters.
Mike, I’ve only heard stories like that, and naturally, really don’t envy anyone, like yourself, who’s had to experience such disasters.
Chuck I agree, pine doesn’t belong in a fireplace. An empty aluminum can in the fire place really helps to burn any soot in the fire place, of course it’s a lot easier after the Cold Beer inside is emptied! LOL!
