For the first time in more than 15-years, I actually sold several Winchesters. Jeff (JWA) managed to cajole me into selling him one of my Single Shot rifles.

Does that mean I have to wait another 15 years before you will let me buy the low wall you also brought for show-and-tell? 😉
Glad everyone made it home safe, I enjoyed visiting with everyone and can’t wait for the next show!
Best Regards,
Jeff,
You had better start saving all of your loose pocket change now! Additionally, you will have to go 10-rounds with Gary over that rifle… he spent more time walking by my table to “pet” that low-wall than he did at his own table. That stated, that is just one of two low-walls that I still have in my collection (the other is a 25-20 S.S. with the “BROWNING BROS. ODGEN U.” marking on the barrel). You might have an advantage if you can find me a really nice Model 1903 that you can use as a down payment on the low-wall.

I am frantically digging through my 1903’s now to find one that meets your criteria! Gary deserves it more than I though since it has the wrong size hole in the barrel.Although, it would look nice next to my antique low-wall in .22 Extra Long…….
Best Regards,
What do you mean “since it has the wrong size hole in the barrel”… it is a 22 Short, which right up your alley!

My mistake, I thought we were talking about the center fire, I got them mixed up in my head. My brain had Single Shot overload when looking at your table…..
In that case, it is “game-on” with Gary 😉

I think we need to do a welfare check on Gary. We’ve been prodding him for a couple of days and he’s been remarkably quiet. Maybe he’s having a case on “non-buyer’s” remorse.

I’m alive and well, just put in a busy week at work as soon as I got home from Cody.
Bert seemed to be sulking so bad about his beloved high wall that I just couldn’t inflict any more pain on the poor old fellow in his time of mourning. Maybe I will try to coerce him into actually nailing down a price on that little low wall someday, but I ended up making a couple other deals that kept me satisfied at the end of the show. I also had an offer extended to another friend that would have nearly broken the bank if they would have said yes …… but that one got tabled for now.
It was a great show indeed and I sure enjoyed getting to see everyone. Always fun to chat and exchange some friendly banter back and forth. The young trumpeter performing the national anthem each day at noon was a nice addition. Made me proud to stand in a room full of good people with the same values, many of them veterans.

Amen! And that is why attending the shows in person is so important.

Best Regards,
Felt the same way attending a benefit at a VFW hall in Nocona, TX tonight. Surrounded by heroes trying to help a neighbor out. God bless America, amen.
