I’m waiting for a cousin to get back with me as to whether or not he knows him. He grew up in Nacogdoches like a whole passel of our people has done since the 1850s. One note about Nacogdoches (pronounced as Naka-doches with the “g” being silent) is that it is the oldest town in Texas.

Thanks Bert. He helped me locate the owner of the 1887 I bought years back. You may be right about the other websites. Do you remember the saying he would end his posts with? Had something to do with Nacogdoches?
The Gunboards forum shows that he was active as of 6-17-2019… so it appears that he is still kicking.

There are a number of people named Clyde W. Howard in Texas in census data and the SSDI. One died in Dallas in February of 2005 – he was in his 80s. Another Clyde W. Howard does appear in Nacogdoches directories during the late and early 1990 – 2000 period, with another reference showing that name in 2006.

Thanks all. I am sure the Clyde I am talking about died in 2005. I was just hoping someone remembered the saying he used to end his posts.
Chuck,
I do not believe you are correct. Based on what I found on Gunboards.com, Clyde has been an active member for many years (and still is). You need to go register and then post a question for him.
