Welcome Bill.  What type of Lightnings are you talking about? Pistols or revolvers?

That’s cool.  I have a couple rifles too. One is a medium frame and the other is a large frame.

Welcome, Bill! What Winchesters do you shoot in SASS or during casual range trips? Good to see another shooter on the forum.

Hi Mike: for SASS shoots i shoot Colt revolvers, Winchester M92,  and occasionally a antique M73 in 44-40. other winchesters are 25-20, 38-40 and 1885 32 IDEAL n occasion. I was visiting my granddaughter who is in Dallas in June, Dallas area is certainly busy. Hope to get back at some point and check out the hill country.

If your shooting Classic Cowboy, I don’t think you can compete with anything smaller than .40 caliber in SASS.

I know some of the side matches, you can use .22s but assuredly not for the main match.

Sincerely,

Maverick

Hi Maverick:  i am shooting in the class of cattle baron, shooting 44-40’s rev. and rifle.  I believe only the young ones can use 22’s.
