Watched this last night and was fascinated with it. I don’t know anything about forging but remembered the subject of crucible steel has come up with Winchester barrels. Maybe some of you interested in metal working would enjoy this:

Very Interesting and fascinating video. Makes me wonder if they used human bone or animal bone for the carbon. I would imagine it was human bone.
Although I imagine the "Crucible Steel" before mentioned on the forum, has little to do or relate with the subject other than by the name of the company.
Thanks for sharing! Makes me wonder what he wants for one of those swords.

I thought it was really interesting that they can’t figure out for sure yet who actually made the swords and where they either got the materials and technology in that time period. The part about all the fraudulent/knockoff swords they’ve discovered that were made around the same time made me chuckle. Dishonest people trying to cash in on a name and reputation…reminds me of something that comes up with Winchesters on the forum here too.
