1866 Prices have changed over the years|General Discussions & Questions|Forum|Winchester Collector

Was digging through some stuff and found this old tag.  A few years before the  turn of the century, no I am not that old, I bought my first house and I didn’t really have any extra money.  Unfortunately at the time a friend had to sell his dad’s collection and while he wanted me to purchase the collection I just couldn’t swing it so I found him a buyer.  However, in the process of inventorying the guns, etc., the tag must have been removed from his old carbine and it was just found in a box.  Fortunately for him it sold for a quite a bit more than his dad paid for it.  I have the list somewhere with the serial number but cannot find it, but I suspect someone on the forum probably owns it.  Here is a picture of the hang tang that was on it.  Those were the days!
