Okay, let’s try $312.50.  Let me know if my price is out of line.  Copies I see on eBay are at least $100 more.

ANY interest in this book?  You won’t find it cheaper anywhere else.

Great book by a great author. In my case I’m just not much interested in the 1876. I probably need it for my reference library but discretionary funds are tight for awhile.

One more time and then perhaps that’s it.

I had an offer and countered and never heard back.  You won’t find this any cheaper, they are all more on eBay and elsewhere plus then you also have to pay sales tax.

$300 shipped media mail.

To say I’m disappointed in how selling seems to be working on this forum and others is an understatement.

FWIW, I think it is a very important book to 1876 collectors.  I would gladly pay that amount but I have one and have had since it first came out many years ago.  IF you don’t have a copy it is well worth the price in my opinion.  Good luck with it!  Tim

Selling seems to be working just fine on here from what I can see. I don’t think the forum or its members are the issue here. It may be a issue of your price just being too much for most people.

FWIW, I bought my copy shipped to Australia on ebay for less than half your asking price…..Why don’t you try listing it on ebay with a reserve and let the bidders decide?

And I agree with Tim Tomlinson, a great book!

Many long time collectors have a great reference library.  We make it a habit of buying books when they first come out.  I paid $45 for the 1876 book.  Now, since it is out of print it is a sellers market.  If you keep looking you may find it cheaper but since there aren’t many copies online for sale it is what ever the market can bear.

I just bought an extra copy of this book last weekend at a show for $35. It was in near new condition with a large selection of books a fellow was selling. It was a rare occurrence when there was no need to haggle. Thirty minutes later I spent the same amount for a couple coffees and two cookies from the food vendor at the show. Such is life and the cookie was outstanding.

Great buy Gary.  I have had that happen a couple of times over the years.  Recently I made a good trade for a Model 69 book.  All in it cost me about $19.

I ended up selling this book to a fine member of this forum at a fair price for both of us.  I had two copies and didn’t need both.

My price was well under that on eBay and then no sales tax as well.  The problem was that most collectors already have this book and aren’t looking for it.  It’s all about timing.  Another collector might come along and have a rough idea what mine sold for, wish they had seen my advert, and bought it.  Search for awhile, find none remotely close to what mine sold for, and finally give up and buy the cheapest copy available, that being $450 on eBay.
