Hugh-
Miroku makes an excellent firearm but if you’ll spend a little time looking around this site you’ll likely notice Mirokus are outside the focus of this forum. I’ve seen Miroku firearms with the likeness of Oliver F Winchester himself but for a discerning collector it’s simply not a Winchester. We’re aware of Mroku’s products, we just don’t talk about them much on a forum dedicated to what is commonly referred to as pre-64 Winchesters.

How so?japchester is still a Winchester….says so on the barrel!
seriously, I am looking for one.
Hugh,
The firearm you seek is NOT a true Winchester. The barrel of the gun you are looking for is marked with the Trademark symbol before the “Winchester” name. The Browning Arms Company leased the rights to use the Trademarked name from the Olin Corp.
True (real) Winchesters were manufactured in the U.S.A. at the New Haven, CT factory, and before the year 1981. As Mike mentioned, the primary focus of the WACA is on the Pre-1964 production Winchester arms. The WACA organization & website is focused on those products only.
