Good luck… In my research survey, I have only found (13) solid frame Model 55 rifles in 25-35 WCF, and none of them were “high condition” specimens. My extrapolation tables indicate that there were only 3,785 solid frame Model 55 rifles made, and of that number, just 270 of them were made in 25-35 WCF.

That’s great info. I see most M55’s have flaked receivers and are ugly at best. In my collection I have a very nice M55 30-30 solid frame with just a small amount of flaking. It is much better than my takedown M55, that I got from Larry Shennum. Big Larry

That is a very nice solid frame Model 55, better than the vast majority of them encountered today. It was also a new entry in my research survey, bringing the total to (14) solid frame rifles in 25-35 WCF. Do you have any other Model 55 rifles (TD or Solid frame)?
