Looking to buy a Lyman front sight for a model 1894 short rifle with an extra-light octagon barrel. The rifle was manufactured in 1900 and I prefer the sight to be from the same time period and match the patina of the rifle. Also prefer the sight to have an ivory bead and the Lyman patent date markings as well. The front sights on the extra-light barrels tend to have a narrower sight base and are taller than the sights on standard weight barrels–see below photos. This rifle letters with “Lyman rear and front” sights. Although, the front sight currently on this rifle is of the correct height and and width profile (see photo below), it is not a Lyman. If anyone has what I am looking for, please send me a PM.
Thanks,
Don
