I usually do not sell like this, but I’m going to try in mrcvs’s opinion a way to find out exactly what these thing are valued at. For Sale. A 2 volume set of Jim Gorden’s books on the Winchester 1973s along with the spiral bound book that came with it when I ordered them. The condition of these books are in excellent condition, Not Mint, but Excellent. Highest offer will get these out of print books. I also have a number of other Collector books on everything from Colt Firearms to Mauser Firearms, Rifles to Shotguns, domestic to imported. If interested contact via E-Mail. [email protected]

I would list all your books on this forum with a high asking price followed by “or best offer” and see what results.

Well, whatever you do don’t be like most people and use Amazon as your appraisal guide because you might sit on them for a while.

I tell you this politely from experience.

Amazon would be a very poor choice, but even ABE & Bookfinder can mislead because many if not most booksellers never compare prices–they guess what the market will bear & look no further.  So on the same list, prices for the same book in the same cond. might range from $25 to $100.

Okay, I’ll bite; I’ll post a list of the books I wish to sell at the highest offered price on this forum as per the suggestion of MRCVS, this before I sell them on the internet. I received 2 responses on the Gorden 2 volume set which includes the spiral bound research information. Thus far not much of a response from those interested in the Model 1873. Must say I’m not very surprised. I’ve been a WACA member since 1991 (#2576) and have seen this many times before. Most just Talk the Talk, but don’t Walk the Walk.

I’d like to see the list too.  I have a lot of books but it took me some years to buy the Gordon set because of the price.  After I had it I realized I should have bought it much sooner.

To All Interested;

  I have the list of the first batch of books i want to sell. You tell me if interested, and how much you’re willing to pay. This is not the way I usually sell, but MRCVS thinks I’ll have a better idea of how much to sell them for on the WACA sight. This before I sell them on the internet. So here goes

1)Jim Gordens 2 volume set, including the spiral bound survey “Winchester Model 1873”     8) The Peace-Maker and its Rivals   by J. Parsons

2) Winchester by Williamson                                                                                          9) The Colt Armory   by Ellsworth Grant

3)Winchester 1873 Handbook                                                                                       10) Colt  by James L. Mitchell

4)Winchester Northwest Mounted Police Carbines by Louis Yearout                                   11) Colt Firearms  by Serven

5)Winchester Handbook  by Madis                                                                                 12) Book of Colt Firearms  by L. Wilson

6)Winchester Single Shot  by John Cambell                                                                     13) Colt Pocket ’49 and its evolution  by Jorden, Watt

7)Winchester Model ’94  by Renneberg                                                                           14) Colt Single Action Army Pre-War/Post-War  by Wilkerson

                                                                                                                                  15) Mauser Bolt Rifles  by Ludig Olson

If interested send your offers to my E-Mail, [email protected]

Thank you, apache (ya ta hey)LaughLaughWinkCool
