Well, whatever you do don’t be like most people and use Amazon as your appraisal guide because you might sit on them for a while.
I tell you this politely from experience.

Amazon would be a very poor choice, but even ABE & Bookfinder can mislead because many if not most booksellers never compare prices–they guess what the market will bear & look no further. So on the same list, prices for the same book in the same cond. might range from $25 to $100.
Okay, I’ll bite; I’ll post a list of the books I wish to sell at the highest offered price on this forum as per the suggestion of MRCVS, this before I sell them on the internet. I received 2 responses on the Gorden 2 volume set which includes the spiral bound research information. Thus far not much of a response from those interested in the Model 1873. Must say I’m not very surprised. I’ve been a WACA member since 1991 (#2576) and have seen this many times before. Most just Talk the Talk, but don’t Walk the Walk.

I have the list of the first batch of books i want to sell. You tell me if interested, and how much you’re willing to pay. 2) Winchester by Williamson 9) The Colt Armory by Ellsworth Grant
3)Winchester 1873 Handbook 10) Colt by James L. Mitchell
4)Winchester Northwest Mounted Police Carbines by Louis Yearout 11) Colt Firearms by Serven
5)Winchester Handbook by Madis 12) Book of Colt Firearms by L. Wilson
6)Winchester Single Shot by John Cambell 13) Colt Pocket ’49 and its evolution by Jorden, Watt
7)Winchester Model ’94 by Renneberg 14) Colt Single Action Army Pre-War/Post-War by Wilkerson
15) Mauser Bolt Rifles by Ludig Olson
