Andy:
Bullets, brass and dies are getting even harder to find.
C-H made my dies and they are good. Best need to hang on to them as I have four (4) 1886 rifles. Keep checking. Someone has a set.
Make sure they are not scored w/ resizer die. Also recommend Lee factory crimp die. Hawk makes excellent 33 bullets/FP 200 gr versions for hunting.

Thanks for the advice so far. Called Redding and they no longer accept direct sales orders. Every place in the last 6 months they’ve shipped a 33 die set to is sold out. Very good customer service there, and a very nice lady who did that research for me.
I also called CH4D. They said they could make me one, but delivery would be December of 2023! Holy cow!
Anyway, still looking if there is one out there for sale. Thanks guys!
Andy, contact one of the shops that buys from Redding and ask them if they can order a set for you.
CH4D would be my last choice. Not only will their estimated delivery time be extended their product is not good. I have a couple of their dies and won’t order another.
Another thing I learned when searching for rare car parts is you have to continue to look everywhere you can and be creative with your searches. Sometimes being too specific with your search is not good.

Good luck on your quest, Andy! I’ll keep an eye out at the TGCA show next month if you PM me your contact info. I agree with Chuck on the Redding dies; I only have one set but they seem to be worth the small additional cost.

I have just over 30 loading die sets. The majority are RCBS because of the availability before they shut down the custom shop. The second most are Redding, my first choice. I do have 1 Lee set of dies. I don’t own a gun in this caliber but I do buy dies like this when they are real cheap. The last few years I have been buying cases and dies in any of the antique calibers.

I’ve done the same thing Chuck, makes the justification of purchasing the gun easier…………

I don’t think I like you very much any more, Chuck. Sometimes I pass on a gun because I don’t load or cast for that cartridge. Using your strategy a cartridge could get its foot in the door and another orphan could follow me home. Thanks a lot!

I have many sets of Lee dies… that’s a choice I’d like to undo. I also have C-H, RCBS, Pacific, Redding and others. Yup, Redding are the best of the group.

All that money and you end up with Lee dies
As much as I like Lee products in general I’ve never been happy with a set of Lee dies. Have only had a few but one set was given away during a past ammo crisis and the other is taking up space after I purchased more suitable dies. In addition I will not buy or sell reloaded ammo.

If I needed 33 WCF dies I would buy this until I could find or need a better set.
Best offering so far. I didn’t see a single set of loading dies, 33WCF or otherwise, at the TGCA show. Saw a few old moulds but no dies.
