I am not quite sure what you are asking?  

Winchester offered both ½ and ⅔ length magazines for the Carbines as an “optional” item.  If a Carbine was ordered with a shorter than standard < 20″ barrel, and a short magazine was also ordered, Winchester would have custom made the short magazine to fit up to the shorter than standard barrel.  That stated, Trapper Carbines with shorter than full length magazines are very rare.  Of the (816) that I have documented in the survey, just (4) have a shorter than full length magazine.
