I was fortunate enough to recently obtain a 95 SRC in .30-06, a shooter in good condition, but missing the handguard and rear sight.  As a hunter, I’m still very pleased with the rifle, even w/o all the original parts, particularly because it has a Lyman 38 on it. Looking at Pirkle, the sight is no doubt for a 92, or 94, since it’s shorter than the 95 version, and the apparently aftermarket mount drilling did go through an address letter.

There is one slight problem:  One of the 2 tiny set screws for the thumb lever on elevation adjustment has half the screwdriver slot broken-off.  It is still barely usable, but I would like to find a replacement screw.  I realize this is no doubt asking a LOT! I’ve looked online a bit, but not had much luck finding original Lyman parts; usually only complete sights, as all of you would have told me. If I try to replace it with a modern screw I’m not a machinest, so am having a hard time figuring out a legitimate description.  I’ve mic’d it at approximately 0.200″ long X 0.090″ dia; maybe a #2 ?  Anyway, any advice greatly appreciated.IMG_2197.JPGImage Enlarger

Check out Winchester Bob.  He at least has the entire assembly for the locking lever.  Tim
