I have a model 36 9mm shotgun that i am interested in selling. Can some one direct me to the best way to get this out there on the market?

One way is to post it for sale on this site, but first you need to decide on a price.  If you have no idea what to ask, look for “sold prices” of the same model in the same cond on GunBroker or GunsInt.

Do you know what you want for it? What condition is it in? Where are you located? Is it all original, or has it been redone, fussed with, etc?

Being a guest, you have to send pics to someone here, as a member, and they can post them for you.

I would at least be interested as others would be in seeing this and finding out how much you’re looking to get for it.

Condition varies widely on these.  I’d say of the ones I’ve seen, most have been on the poorer condition side.

I had the pleasure of examining a very high condition, nickel finish M36 a few weeks ago.

I agree with Steve, as it’s pretty hard to find these in decent condition. Most are grey or brown guns, and many will be found redone, in some way or another.  Approximately 20,000 mfg. 1920-1927. I’ve never seen a Nickel finished model 36. Was it original?

Well, that’s no diff from other low-cost boy’s rifles.  A well-preserved boy’s rifle is scarcer than a high-cond ’86, because the latter were usually handled with care.

This gun is not in perfect condition but its 100 years old. It was stored in a closet for the last 50 or more.

The ones I have seen posted on line seams to be in the same condition as the one I have.

It is in original condition. Not nickel. Very little rust on barrel. Antonio, you mentioned sending pictures to a member. How do I do that? As I am not familiar with how this Forum works exactly. Can we direct message?

Tedk, I also have seen a Nickel Model 36.  It was in wonderful condition, and in one of the finest collections of bolt action Winchesters that I have seen.  Is it original?  I really don’t know.

Very Interesting. I’ve seen different nickel finished guns, just not the model 36.

As long as nickel remained listed as an extra-cost option in the catalog, it should (theoretically) have been possible to have it done even to a Thumb-trigger model.  Though naturally, the cheaper the gun, the less likely a customer would be to make such a request.

That does make sense to me, Clarence, as 1920-1927, being Pre. Depression Era, and during the “ROARING 20’s”, when people had a few buck’s in their pocket, and before the Government started their Tax programs to steal Working Class, $$$ and the rest of the people in this Country enjoying they’re Freedom’s and benefits of hard work and sound investments!

Any and All pictures that are sent seem to be going to Spam, and I won’t open them, and it’s telling me that their coming from a David Jobe.

Maybe somebody else can help you with the model 36 pics.

I just don’t need the possible hassles!

That they’re going into spam means nothing in itself–that’s where my emails to Big Larry usually go, & he hasn’t found any way to prevent it.
