Hello! Was wondering if anyone had come across a safety like this before on a Model 12. This is a 20ga with a vent rib, but it also has this added on safety lever on the left side of the receiver. On the fence about buying it. It looks to be done well, but I was wanting to make sure it wasn’t someone’s homemade modification. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

That is positively an aftermarket (homemade) alteration to the gun.

Is there a possibility it could be an aftermarket Crowe Rotary Safety with an extended lever? I did some searching and that’s the only other possibility I could come up with, because if it was strictly homemade it must have been by someone who was a gunsmith. Here is the info on the Crowe safety I came up with and a couple closer pics of the safety.
All that safety stuff aside, what would you ballpark a value at? Serial # has it born in 1924 and it has a Matted Solid Rib and is in fairly decent overall condition.
