Well today with not much to do, I pulled the shotguns out of safe for a good cleaning and polishing. I’ve been a member here for a little while and am amazed at the beautiful rifle and shotgun collections. I love Winchester’s and have found a wealth of information and help especially from Bert who dated my shotguns for me. Unfortunately finances hinder my collection ability but I do love what I have. It all started in 1966 with a Model 42 which dates to 11/54. I hunted for many years with that shotgun. It has a slightly cracked stock which is the way I bought it and it hasn’t move. A few years ago I tried to find the Model 12 set to match. I came across a new in box Model 12 from 1956 which I purchased. The first thing I did was shoot it, just what is was made for. I then found a Model 12 in 16 and 20 gauge. Almost done, now for the 28. As the 28 gauge was out of my range, I purchased a Brownchester to complete the set. They were all out today and one happy family. It is a nice little collection for me and will be handed down if any of my family wants them. Unfortunately, I’m the only gun nut in the family.
Thanks for sharing all your pictures and knowledge.

Thanks Bert, I hope so too. To go with the shotguns I have a nice 1953 Model 94 30-30 carbine and a like new tubular Model 77. Thanks for your reply.
