Winchester model 54 super grade?

one of my friends wife inherited a Winchester 54 super grade besides the floor plate being marked is there a way to check the under side of the barrel like on a model 70 for markings?

Winchester did not begin to regularly stamp M70 SG under barrels with SUPER and/or a backwards S on the recoil lug until 1955. A much earlier M54 SG barrel would not be stamped in this manner and would have the same under barrel stamps as a M54 NRA/Standard Rifle.
