Thanks Bob
Opinions on the carbine are always welcome. I also recently acquired an original complete RF bolt for the 66 and am tempted to reconvert if that’s the proper terminology . I am really not certain if the gun is factory CF or originally RF converted somewhere down the line like many others

Marty, Thanks for that information.
Bob, Thanks for posting more pics of Marty’s 66.
Experts please refresh our memories as to what records are available on the Winchester Model 66.
As Bert was so kind in reminding all of us that Record we’re destroyed by Winchester to make room at the original Winchester Repeating Arms Co. and not destroyed by plant or Whse. fires as presumed by some over the years and some rumors abound.
Thanks,
Antonio

Hi, I am new to the site and not sure how to use it. I need some advice about preserving a relic that was exposed to extream weather. Some of the stock has been deteriorating and the steel is badly rusted. I don’t need to make it better, but want to preserve what is there. It is on display in a case but needs care of some sort. Any advice would be helpful.
I attempted to upload picture, but could not. Therefore apacheyellowboy.com
