My Win carbine by serial no is dated 1929. Under barrel, where it’s threaded to receiver is marked MNS 32WS a triangle . 31 I was told the 31 was the year it was made, also it is a 1929 Depression gun and that’s why the serial number is different?

If you want to know when this rifle was made, post the entire serial number. Never heard of a Depression gun. It may be a parts gun. If so it lowers it’s value.

The barrel was manufactured in the year 1931. The serial number on the bottom of the receiver frame will tell us precisely when it was manufactured.
Unless you used the Reference tool on this website, it is highly likely that receiver frame was manufactured later than 1929. Per the original Winchester factory records, s/n 1060899 was the last Model 94 receiver serialized in the year 1929.
