Does anyone have any pics or know of where some pics might be of the sights that were used on the 1892’s. Just the fixed ones on the barrel, front and rear. Reason for asking is I looked at a rifle yesterday and it did not have the rear sight I am use to looking for with the buckhorn elevator that has the little screw in it. The front sight had a smaller blade with like a white inlayed dot in it of some sort. The guy swore it was an original sight setup, but I was not sure. This was on a 25-20 if that makes any difference…..

Thanks

Steve

Check out the merzantiques.com site for 1892 rifles or carbines and you’ll see plenty of examples.

You could also check Madis’ THE SIGHT BOOK or Stroebel’s OLD GUNSIGHTS.
