The issue that you will run into is the fact that Winchester only provided a single magazine with each Model 43 Rifle that they sold. Spare factory original magazines are difficult to find. There were a few companies that manufactured reproduction magazines, but quite often, they do not fit & function very well. Years ago I bought (2) repro magazines for my Model 43 22 Hornet, but seldom use them. Most of the time I single feed the cartridges when shooting at the range, or varmint hunting. Fast follow-up shots are very seldom ever needed.

No, it cannot. The 22 Hornet is the one unique magazine for the Model 43.
