It’s with some reservations that I am making this post (more gamefish in the pond). A&S auction, Waco has an upcoming auction on October 29&30th. Their website mentions 1866,1876,1886, 1892 and 1894’s. A Winchester collection from Mike Elias is also mentioned. I’ve attended their events off and on for forty years and never had a sniff of impropriety. If you’re within driving distance, hands and eyes on are always best. They charge no commission for in house bidders. Internet fee is 15%. Absentee and phone bidders pay a 5% convenience fee. The catalog cover shows four lever guns looking mighty fine. Catalogs ship a couple weeks before auction. liveauctioneers.com handles the internet.
As as an aside,7 or 8 years ago they handled the estate of a fellow from Mart , Tx, named Paxton Littlepage. His collection numbered 3,300 modern firearms, from G&H customs to Mossbergs. This took place place over 7 sessions and 3 years. Has anyone ever heard of a more voluminous collection?
The web address is https://asauctions.com I wasn’t able to post the link on my tablet.
