i have an 1886 light weight with swivels. it letters with them. including the buttplate, the rear swivel is 4″ from the toe. i also have a 1894 carbine with swivels. the rear swivel is 4 1/16 including the buttplate.
Thanks. I am sure there is a little variance in these measurements. My factory letter does not mention the swivels, but they are the real deal. 1903 vintage M1894 round bbl. takedown in 32 Special. A good 98% in condition. Thanks, Big Larry
i have a couple of other 92’s and 94’s and one other 1886 with pistol grip stock that have original swivels and they are all around 4″ from the toe. arthur pirkles book on 1894’s states the 4″ measurement as well.
Here are the pics. The swivels I have for this rifle are the real deal. Not repro’s. The rear swivel measures 3 5/8″ from the center to the end of the buttplate. Thanks all. Big Larry
