OfflineHello,
A friend of mine is curious to know the signification, if any, of a S.H.S. marking on the butt plate of a third model Winchester-Hotchkiss (in 45-70, if this information can be relevant).
On top of my mind, I thought it might be the logo of a cinema prop rental service (?)
Has any of you ever encountered this marking?
Gilles

OnlineAre there any other non-factory type markings on the firearm?
Sincerely,
Maverick
