This rifle should make an appearance in JWA’s soon to be published, book. # 79864. PR, 8-25-1955. BBl. dated 55.
Plain grade walnut stock, NOT cut for a receiver sight. Grooved receiver, and a 32-D bbl. mounted sight. I think the front sight is a 103-B with correct sight hood. JWA can make corrections. Rifle is drippy mint. Bought it online a few years back. Big Larry

Classic beauty, Big Larry! Funny thing, your 75 Sporting and mine have rather plain wood. So many 75 Sporting rifles have wood approaching 1X. That’s OK. I think I’ll dig mine out of the safe tomorrow and stare at it for awhile.

Yes it will make an appearance, no corrections or excuses needed for this rifle, here it is –

Jeff… thanks for the update… now I don’t need to buy the book… but I will anyway. Any chance of a “digital” edition? I attend alot of shows and can’t bring my library with me and it would be a great asset. Cheers & looking forward to seeing you, Elliot and the rest of us addicts during the spring gun-show circuit 🙂

No digital edition until all of the hard copy volumes are in print, sorry. The page numbers on the excerpt pages I posted may shift by a few numbers as I am still tweaking a few chapters but certainly print that page and keep it with your rifle paperwork for future provenance.

Jeff… so may we expect a digital copy of the Model 69 book too at some point? That would be excellent! On another topic, maybe we should plan a group “dinner get together” for Greeley one night? Sort of a “warm up” for Cody.![]()
Yes, I would be happy to do a digital version of all my books as soon as I sell out of the hard copies, otherwise the hard copy sales will slow down and I will be stuck with a living room full of books (which will not make my wife happy).
I will be in Greeley but I am not sure if Elliot is going to make it there this year, so, I only have to outrun you to find all the goodies this time
Dinner sounds good!
